Osteopathy in Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a time of significant change, both physically and emotionally. Prenatal Osteopathy is a therapeutic way of helping the body adjust to the rapid bodily changes as the baby grows. Low back and pelvic pain are amongst the most common ailments treated, but Osteopathy can also help with circulatory issues such as swelling, constipation and help regulate sleep.

Common issues Osteopaths treat during pregnancy are:
- pelvic pain
- back pain
- carpal tunnel syndrome
- swelling
- sciatica

The osteopath will conduct an assessment to identify any areas of imbalance. Treatment uses a mixture of safe and effective techniques designed to alleviate discomfort and restore balance to the tissues and nervous system.
